About

Layout on the official website for Anime Boston 2008Anime Boston is an annual three-day Japanese anime convention held in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It usually rotates between being in the three months of either March, April and May every year. Most recently, it has been held at the Hynes Convention Center and Marriot Copley Boston. There are tons of events such as the masquerade, an anime music video contest, video programming rooms, an artists' alley and art show, karaoke, game shows, video games, manga library, dances and balls, and way more things. There are even special guests and such that show up. So if you're nearby and like anime or just think you might want to come, please do! It's a really great convention! :)

If you're wondering why the fanlisting is called "Ahoy Anime!" it's because Boston is the capital of Massachusetts, a state that borders water. "Ahoy" is a sailor's term for "hello". So the title is meant to be kind of like saying, "Hello Anime!".

The official AnimeBoston website, where you can find more information about the convention, is located here.
